Oh yes, the warmth and colors work so well together. The blue lighting works well with the orange/brown wood.

In this case, I rather think the frame works well because you graduated the colors in it. Had it been a simple flat brown, it would not have worked.

I keep coming back to this - first appreciating the angles created by the bug and branch and then the background comes in for another examination.

That background. It was 'bugging' me (sorry about that) so I went looking for what it reminded me of, a watered silk fabric called: moire.

However you achieved it, (Noise ninja?) it's a lovely compliment to the subject.
