Funny how the perspective distorts this so that even though we all recognize a hand, we also have different immediate impressions. I find it menacing, probably because of the focus on the middle finger - it's creeping toward me.

I was your 8. I think it's a terrific bird portrait and the title works with the challenge. Only reason I can see to downgrade it would be that it's a shoehorn - as if there were any entries that weren't! I mean when the "challenge" is in the creation of a title, every photo that has an appropriate title should start on equal footing and then be evaluated for quality of image. Your quality was fine, I thought.
