Have to admit I would have to work hard to resist the temptation to pull one of the middle pallets out. Good thing they would probably be too heavy :)

I like the subject, the composition, the geometry a lot. I would prefer it much crisper . . . but I'm trying to learn to appreciate softness more. It's easier with a softer subject :)

Ah, just read the description. I LOVE looking for faces in this kind of creation - you can almost always find them in the middle. We had a challenge like this once - it was very interesting. Here, in the leaves themselves, I see a dancing Native American in full headdress. And in the grass below, a Texas longhorn??!!

The Roofer

I'm not seeing the speckling you refer to and I think both the tones and the grain are very nice. Love the roof lines. Only wish the roofer was more engaged . . . or less compact and more interesting in some way. I have a roofer shot I took at dusk several years ago . . . it's not square, but now that I think of it, it might work as a square. I'll have to check.
