This is one of the photos I dislike in the challenge. While there is clarity, the lighting is just too harsh. Perhaps a softer light, a warmer filter, or a different angle would have helped this photo?

This is my third favorite image in this challenge.
It's so simplistic, yet beautiful. The greens and blues give it a very "cool" sense, but the vibrancy of the yellows give it warmth.
There is great detail on the little snippet of the leaf that is showing. I love how the water is focused around the edges.
The only complaint I have is the haloing that can be seen in the reflection of the water.

Other than that, I love this!

just the Beginning

This is my second favorite photo in the challenge. It evokes such raw emotion. The black and white conversion works beautifully here. The detail is lovely. The graininess works in complete favor.
I can't tell if the guy has his eyes open or not... but I think the only thing that this photo is missing is the needle that he's about to inject in his arm.
