Landscape in Portrait Orientation IIby schlakeComment: Strange choice for this challenge. The photo seems overexposed... I do like the DOF here.
I'm assuming that's a person in the background, standing by a tree?
The crop of this is strange.
But... good job entering the challenge... I didn't, so it's more than I did. |

fronts landscapeby whiterookComment: The tree in the top of the frame seems to be more in focus than any other area of the photo. It's tilted, and there's a harsh light. There are quite a few distracting elements in this photo... but, I give you props for entering... as it's more than I did. |

The fieldsby redpandaComment: At first glance, I didn't appreciate this photograph. However, the more I look at it, the more I find I like it. There's a "painting" feel to it. Something different than the over done HDR people use (amongst other PP).
The hint of red gives a focal point, and an interesting one at that.
This photo would work well in landscape orientation as well (with much of the sky cropped down, of course)... but seeing it's a portrait orientation challenge, it works well here also!
Nice job.

Lost city of the Incas by LevTComment: Very awesome shot! I love the mountains in the photograph... the ruins... the vastness that this photo portrays. It's very well composed, nice colors... and really like the cloud cover in the background... with it hiding behind the main mountain, it really gives a depth to this photo!
Well done.
In my TT.

Forgiven Landby denisprayComment: Such an interesting photo!
I wonder if it'll get the praise that it should?
There is a simplicity, yet complexity to it. The detail vs emptiness... the dark vs light... the white vs black... the grain.. EVERYTHING!!!
So well done.
The border draws my eye to the small posts (???) coming up from the bottom right of the photograph, so that's my only gripe (not to border itself, the things at the bottom)... but other than that, a very cool photo!
Bumping score.
In my TT for sure! |

Widecombe in the moorby paynekjComment: What a cool place! I would like to visit here and have the opportunity to photograph it!
I love older architecture, and this is an amazing example of it!
The only think I would have tried differently is a tighter crop...
nice capture.

A sultry summer eveby mefnjComment: Interesting.
I like the angle you chose here, the composition... but I'm not quite feeling the overall blur of the photograph. |

Machu Picchu Portraitby zoomlightComment: Interesting shot. I would like to visit here! Where is this?
There's something off about this photo that I can't quite place my finger on. Perhaps the color? |

Dragon's teethby KroburgComment: Is that water at the bottom of the photo? That's a little distracting. I would have liked to have seen more of it, or none of it.
The "dragon's teeth" is an interesting capture, but not what my eyes immediately focus on. The sky seems a little gray, was there a storm coming in? |

Waitingby glad2badadComment: Interesting angle on the boat...
lighting seems odd, there is a brightness at the right of the photo that I can't quite explain?
And the sky looks a kinda gray and dreary. Nice detail in the foreground, however. |
