I wish I could rename it "Lost and found" instead of the cliche I used, but since it's been in a challenge, I cannot do that... oh well.

Beautiful image, the man made forms of the city, carved out of the randomness of the mountains, is striking. The clouds give a great indication of the elevation here.

Of course the location is SUPER, but still this is a very good rendition of the place. And the clouds behind the mountain makes it almost 3D :)

Its not just the location, there is an intangible sense of lighting, angle, processing, etc. that brought it to life. Pretty damned good location though. Congrats on the ribbon.

Congrats, Lev! We hiked the Inca Trail to MP and just didn't have enough energy left to get to this vantage point. I kick myself now for not doing it, but we didn't have the right weather either.

Beautiful image.

Once in the 80s, I stood in that very spot and appreciated this view first hand.
(there might still be a little stone structure just behind you)
The site has been cleaned up a bit and possibly is easier to navigate, but still
it is truly impressive.

Very awesome shot! I love the mountains in the photograph... the ruins... the vastness that this photo portrays. It's very well composed, nice colors... and really like the cloud cover in the background... with it hiding behind the main mountain, it really gives a depth to this photo!
