The Raceby flip89Comment: Thank you all for your great comments and encouragement. This challenge has been a real joy ride, I mean, roller coaster ride, (especially after the April fool's joke) (and top ten is not bad at all). Thanks again! Message edited by author 2004-04-05 00:36:24. |

The birds are backby pcodyComment: Feline curiosity represented in a photograph. I like the shadows surrounding the cat. It adds to the mystery. |

Beautiful San Juanby JPRComment: I am ambivalent about this photograph because of the haze in the background. But it is such a beautifully and difficult captured photograph that I keep on going back to it. Certainly, the composition is balanced, the placement of the head is very appropriate for the title and I like the fact that the parachute or parasail or whatever it is that suspends the person is cut off and out of the frame. It appears then that the person is suspended from the frame of the picture. I like that quirk. |

All That Flutterby paganiniComment: A tighter crop on the butterfly would have made this for me. But the colors are just lovely. |

Training for Charity Cycleby BobsterLobsterComment: This conveys a lot of fun! The smile on your focused subject is very infectious. The panning technique worked very well. The slant also makes the suggested motion very fast. I am not sure if black and white works here, maybe this needs color to add more vibrancy (because of the fun nature of the photograph). But it's a good effort!!! |

Reflectionsby flip89Comment: Thank you all for your kind comments. This building is really different and fun and quite orange. I was going to post a picture of a tomato on an orange plate for this challenge. The week-end of the end of the challenge, a friend of mine from California was in Chicago and wanted to see post-modern architecture - so we drove around the city and saw this building - the new campus center of the Illinois Institute of Technology at Chicago's south side. I of course took a lot of pictures, dropped my nice tomato pictures and submitted this one. I just wanted to share this with you. More pictures and coverage at IIT's official website at //www.iit.edu/mtcc/news/ and I also posted outtakes in my profile. Again, thanks and hope you enjoy this building as much as I did. Wait for me !!!by jab119Comment: Excellent! Panning result is great! The symmetry is beautiful and in harmony. The background color is also perfect for the ducks/geese whatever they are. Details of the flying fowls are excellent. Congratulations! |
