A good concept ... shallow DOF doesn't work that much here though. Perhaps it might look better (to me) if the DOF were wider. Compositionally, the diagonals work well but the white space on the left is a little bit bigger for my taste - I do like negative space but has it has no purpose here. But that is just my opinion, you can disregard it.

That is very cool. Full frame and centering work here very well. Lighting is adequate ... it would have been nice if the eyes were highlighted more but you have to get what you have to get ... you're only given one chance in cases like this. Very nice capture!

Nice reflective mood ... would be even nicer if you placed them (dog and friend) a little bit more off center than this, as for example, crop just about an inch before the dog.
