Greetings from the Critique Club!

This is an interesting image in that it makes my turn my head and try to figure out what is all there. The focus seems off just a bit, almost as if there was a slight camera shake, a sharper focus would help this image a great deal to me. The cutting off the tires on the left also hurts the image to me.

I do like the black and white use here. Color would have been very distracting. But the itmes hanging on the right are a bit distracting to the shot. Perhaps if you had removed the other objects and turned one of the bikes over to offer some contrast? I like the shot overall just needs a bit of tweaking to me.

Good Luck In Future Challenges!

OmGOSH, you would ruin a good whiskey with that vile coke? LOL! Just kidding. I like the together idea but I don't like the post processing, the x-ray type look. The ice looks very dirty and just not very appealing at all to me. a 6

Wow, you and your wife do look a lot alike! Spooky! I can't wait to hear how this was done!

I like the shot and the division in the middle is almost perfect but not quite and her side in the middle is really out of focus for some reason compared to the sid on the right. A 6

PB&J, without a doubt the most well know together pair! This is a college student's main staple, along with mac and cheese. The shot is a bit bright and out of focus. Also, knowing several college students, they would never cut off the crusts, they are always hungry and would eat every single crumb! ;)

The knife is a bit of distraction because it's so clean with just the touch of peanut butter on the end, seems there should be peanut butter and jelly smeared on it from cutting the bread and the clean cuts on the bread also are a bit to clean, you know? A 5 to start, going to a 6

Shovel and Snow

Another great idea but the shot left me wanting. The motion of the shovel, the snow falling all makes for a very busy picture and nothing really to focus on and catch my eye and keep it there. I would possibly put the shovel upright in a snow bank or have it on the sidewalk full of snow. A 5

I almost did this shot too! I tried a couple of different ways but couldn't get it to work for me. This is not a bad shot but the salt and pepper getting cut off on the bottom hurts the shot and all the stray seasoning is very distracting. Also the light is a bit harsh it would seem. A 5

Well, yes they do go together but not quite like this in my mind, LOL! I would expect fish net stockings to start and to be able to see the heel of the shoe, a shot from behind or the side would have much more impact for me. The bare leg above the stocking is distracting as is the sweater that is hanging down. Perhaps a tighter crop on the top? Also the way the legs are positioned rather strangely to me, not sure quite what you were going for. A 5

Hippos and water, together forever without a doubt. I'm guessing this is a zoo shot so you really didn't have a lot of control over the set up. THe lighting and focus is wonderful and the overall cropping is also well done but not being able to see the front of the face is a bit off putting to me. At first I didn't like this shot overall because it seemed a bit dark to me but upon a second look I see that really works well for this shot. Started with a 5, moving to an 8

They do go together without a doubt. But the graininess of this shot really bothers me. That might be what you were going for but for me personally, there are very few shots where graininess works and this is not one of them. The catching the duck in mid flight is excellent but it looks more like he's ready to land on land than water also. Picky, I know but since they are supposed to be together. A 5
