PB&J, without a doubt the most well know together pair! This is a college student's main staple, along with mac and cheese. The shot is a bit bright and out of focus. Also, knowing several college students, they would never cut off the crusts, they are always hungry and would eat every single crumb! ;)

The knife is a bit of distraction because it's so clean with just the touch of peanut butter on the end, seems there should be peanut butter and jelly smeared on it from cutting the bread and the clean cuts on the bread also are a bit to clean, you know? A 5 to start, going to a 6

Had the same idea myself (peanut b. and jelly at leat), but ddn't end up shooting it because I could not do it artistically. This meets the challenge well, but lacks a sense of "flare" or artistry. Personally, I was going to try smearing the peanut butter and jelly together on a glass plate in a nice swirly pattern and shoot it as a closeup.

A little off focus but good idea maybe a little messy but hey a person has to eat!
And you should eat your crusts!

Good idea, just needs more work to come together compositionally.

DOF could be better on jars.

I don't dislike your idea but the composition is a little weak. Things look a bit lined up and un-natural. P.S. Eat your crust!!

PB&J. Yum,yum. You don't even have to be "young" or "studying" to enjoy this treat. Quite nicely photographed. Could be just a tad sharper.

I'm surprised to only see one peanut butter & jelly shot in this challenge (I prefer JIF). What is the brown stain in the back of the picture?

Looks like I can see your shadow top left and focus could be more crisp. I do like your take on the subject of cutting off the crust.

I'm surprised there weren't more of these. 8 for idea!

Yes, they do go together. You've made some attempt to balance the composition, but on the whole, I feel that the subject matter isn't particularly interesting. It's just too ordinary for me. 3
