So? DID YOU WIN????? :) Great idea, exposing the numbers. The cropping is also well done, takes you from one side to the other and helps bring you into the shot. The lighting seems just a bit dark to me and the background, with the speckles, though I'm thinking that is the dust from the ticket maybe, is a bit distracting. I"m starting this one at a 7 but I will be back.

Inside Nature

Very inside! The dew on this is wonderful and I have to wonder if it's lettuce or a flower. I'm thinking lettuce because of the edges and the stems coming up through the leaves. The color on this is also a bit distracting overall, can't quite explain why but it doesn't quite appeal to me, it doesn't jump out and grab my attention. The lighting on this does seem to be very good and you get just a tad of reflection off the water. I'm starting this one at a7

Very cool. The clarity on this shot is wonderful, though the overall size leaves me wanting more. The cropping on this shot is also very good, the angle of the pod taking you from one side to the other and the DOF is well done. I'm giving this one a 9

My morning sunshine

Another one that I'll be coming back to find out just how did you get that eff yoke and white in there without messing up the entire carton! :)

This is a wonderful shot, the lighting is perfect, the shadow falling across the egg, coming in from the top right is just the right brightness to look like sunshine coming through a window and making the egg yolk look like the sun. The bubble in the white of the egg also adds to the shot. Lucky or planned? I'm really having a hard time finding any fault with this shot overall, a 10!

Sweetness Revealed

Yummmmmmmmmmm! I don't stand a chance between this one and the food challenge! Exposing the sweet center of one of my favorite treats, wonderful idea. The reflections in the plate are very nice but the cropping leaves me just a tad off. The dark circle around the bottom of the plate ends up being a bit distracting and if they were just slightly more centered. The border also is a bit distracting, the small red one would have been enough, the addition of the black one takes away from the picture. I"m starting this one at a 6

"Conspiracy"

At first I couldn't tell who was in the photograph until the letters in the upper left caught my eye. I like the idea behind this shot but it really doesn't convey the exposure of the conspiracy behing the killing of JFK. As for the shot, the cropping is well done, the angle of the VHS tape to the book, the glasses sitting on the book. The only think I'm not crazy about is the color chosen, it's coming out a light sepia and I think B&W would have worked better but that's just me. I'm starting this one at an 8

I like the idea, making the classic photographer mistake on purpose! ;) The shot of the tree is wonderful, the colors are vibrant though the light seems a bit bright on the tree itself. I'm starting this one at a 7 but I will be back.

This is a wonderful idea and having them on the leaf is a wonderful idea, a more natural setting as they say. The colors, the clarity and the balance are wonderful! The DOF also works well for this shot, I'm having a hard time finding fault with it so it must be a 10!

Upclose and personal it is. Even a little dust to add some reality :) The cliarity of the shot is wonderful and the cropping is very well done, though the left side of the head got cut off a little bit. The reflections are very nice in the side of the head but the light on the very right is a bit bright. I'm starting this one at a 6 but I will be back.

This shot looks so familier, the changing of the colors, I'm surrounded by it here too! This is a lovely shot overall, the cropping is a bit off for my taste, the trees in the front are distracting a bit. The lighting seems a bit dull but the overall effect of the shot is very good.
