Dodging Birdsby SamaraComment: He looks more amused than surprised by the flying birds. A nice shot overall but just misses the concept of the challenge to me. The other little boy is way to calm, maybe if they had both looked a bit more surprised or even shocked. An 8 |

Peek-a-Boo!by trainComment: Oh my! I would be shocked to find him/her in my bouquet of roses that's for sure! An excellent shot overall, the cropping is well done, could be just a tad tighter on the right for me personally but the top is nice, you didn't lose the antenna of the praying mantis. The colors are well done but the lighting is just a tad dull to me, just a touch mind you. An 8 to start but I'll be back. |

We Scored!!by alanfreedComment: Yes, she does look surprised, happy, elated! Well done! The cropp is a bit off to me, the arms getting cut off is a bit bothersome to me. The colors are fantastic and the DOF is well done. The focus suggests just a hint of motion which is happening so that works as well. An 8 |

Pop!by ScantyNebulaComment: BOOM!!!! Been there, done that and dang if it doesn't make me jump every time! This is close to perfect, what would make it perfect to me you ask? The light not glaring on the balloon and the shadow being gone. Maybe coming at from a different angle or using another light to fill in and help defuse the one? A 9 |

Hard Choiceby pcodyComment: I love this one. The clarity, the sharpness, the shock of finding a lifesaver in my M&m's, that would be a surprise for sure! A 10 |

What's up? by sahkoComment: That would certainly surprise me to open my hard boiled egg and find a little mouse, LOL! Very cute I"m gave this a 9 but raised to a 10 but I would have really liked to see the little guy looking at the camera, it would have added that extra little touch. |

Splash! by arnitComment: Perfect! I'm guessing from the soaked t-shirt that is wasn't the first take? You have a very understanding model there! A 10 |

Thats my Birthday Cake???????by Woody102Comment: Nice concept but the look doesn't quite fit the title. I don't know if this was posed or not but it just seems slightly off to me. Can't quite place my finger on it. I'll probably be back to try to figure it out. The lighting is a bit too dull and the hand with the cupcake almost looks like a maniquin hand and that is one tiny cupcake!
A 5 to start but I'll be back. |

This Wasn't Supposed to Happen!by DiamondPeteComment: Oh ouch! Poor person! My bum is sore just looking at this! It fits the challenge perfectly now if only the camera had been able to get a slightly shaper shot. I know the person is falling but the blur on the whole shot is just a bit too much, probably because I'm guessing you were shocked by what was happening as well. A 5 |

Little boy and his monkeys in the streets of New Delhiby HardfireComment: Not quite sure how this meets the challenge, the boy looks neither excited or surprised, more of a "poor sad me, help me" look, now if the monkey had turned on you and started coming at you...........
The shot is a bit dark in the upper left and the title says monkeys but I only see one, though I'm sure the other rope leads to another. A 5 |
