I like this overall. I think though that it would have been nice to have a little more light/room at the bottom. The sillouette and the hand are so close to the full-black area.

Funny and perfect for the challenge. Well shot too (though after the challenge is over it would be a good idea to clone out that distracting yellow tube in the background.)

Very nice; I too would recommend cropping this to get a solid black natural border. You might also want to clone out the small vertical lighter area on the right. The next question is whether or not to keep it centered: you might experiment with adding a small amount of canvas at the bottom to force the image to the top third and make this a vertical orientation; but that's hard for me to see here, it might also work centered or as shot off vertical center.

Nice shot.

Greetings from the Critique Club:

Impressions: I like the concept, and the shot of the tires with great DOF works well. I particularly like that we get a closeup of a tire in the foreground which looks like it has pretty uneven tire wear.

Improvements: Looks like your camera failed you a bit, as there appears to be purple fringing around the trees. The sky itself seems a bit odd in color as well. Compositionally, it might have been better to use a vertical division into thirds, e.g., two thirds tires, one third sky (or vice versa, but since the tires are the subject, I think two-thirds tires.

Congratulations on a great shot, and the only true window shot to win (or to win with composition rather than tricks).

I like the form and the expression, but I think you should have made sure his underware wasn't showing!

Good choice of subject; major issue is that it appears to be OOF. Also, would have preferred a less centric approach.
