I don't quite see what it has to do with proportions but I really like the shot. Might have been a good abstract entry, or even serendipity (called discovery of X-Rays, might have ended up next to Labuda's. ;) |

Dog shots are hard (I can rarely get a good expression in my dog's eyes like this--usually you just get black) One thing you might do is clean up a little of the bits in the snow, and lighten the stained snow, to keep the attention on the dog. Swim Toward the Lightby photomComment: Interesting scene and good overall abstract. Excellent overall and one of my top picks. However, to me it lacks a little of the needed pop--perhaps in contrast. Might also be interesting to see how it looks in different orientations. |

Piercedby mcmurmaComment: Well done with good colors. I would suggest thinking about a way to reduce the orange area at the top and side. Maybe a square crop might have given it a bit more attention to the interesting curves and foreground colors. |
