Short Line.. Long Waitby BarronessComment: This one really nailed the spirit of the challenge. Even without your comments, I picked up on the slice-of-life sense of waiting here, too. I actually thought about maybe taking a picture of the Sunday afternoon lines of waiting at our local supermarket where everyone's loaded up with carts of groceries and staring at their phones. But never quite got around to that composition. |

Shades of redby LevTComment: The seeing here is distinctly professional, with that matching of the red tones in the hair and clothing, along with the everyday ethnic diversity represented in this neighborhood by your choice of composition and framing. This is probably one that is so good that it gets taken for granted. But I love it. |

Waterloo Stationby TiberiusComment: This was among my favorites. I'm guessing it would have placed significantly higher in a different-themed challenge, but for me the hints of commuter life and the pause to appreciate natural beauty intruding on industrial efficiency were more than enough to make this a compelling storytelling moment from the streets. |

Woman In The Red Coatby LydiaComment: Great eye with this one. It feels like exactly the sort of thing I would put on a travel website. |

Street Babyby lovemelvinComment: This was my second-favorite in the challenge. Really expected it to take the blue, actually. Masterful use of negative space to set an emotional context for this admittedly heartbreaking but also distinctly humanist story. |

stripedby mitalapoComment: Very striking indeed. I was hoping the notes might suggest the context for this shot. I was guessing perhaps a security line at the airport? Either way, it's a very fine bit of seeing here. |

Do not disturbby mariucaComment: My top pick in the challenge. So glad this one made the front page. The casual artistry of this curated moment--cliche as it may be--is undeniable. And I love the way this documentary-like subject juxtaposition hints at urban isolation and social obliviousness. |

Frozen Shortcut by tryggvimarComment: Shots like this just remind me how different daily life is in other parts of the world. I've never seen anything like this before, and this shot really captures the moment and its geographic context admirably. Congrats! |

A Sing Along by beatabgComment: Congrats, Beata! Knew this would do well. The storytelling of this moment is perfect. Feels like a real slice of night life. |
