5:09am by wildirisComment: Wow - congrats on the Blue for this! And the orange, too, for that matter. ;-)
Seriously--this was among my personal favorites in the challenge. It occurred to me that there are several places out here where I live that a well-timed blue-hour sunset could fit the bill beautifully, but nothing I would have found over land could have topped the symmetry you've got here--especially with the placement of the boat! |

Cadiby NeatComment: Ha! You continue to delight me with your range, Anita. This was my personal favorite in the challenge, but I really wasn't sure whose it could be. I'm a sucker for pop-art and retro vibes, and this feels very much like the sort of thing I would design an entire room or office space around. :-) |

corner caseby mitalapoComment: Congrats on the top-five! I do love the moody vibe here, and the framing and processing definitely help bring it out. |

LET GOby mariucaComment: Okay...the craft is clearly here. Now I'm dying to know the artist's statement behind it. :-) |

chic by TiberiusComment: It's a non-traditional glamour portrait, to be sure, but one that definitely captures the beauty of its subject in a setting where the traditional trappings of glamour (i.e., jewelry, makeup, dress attire, etc.) are all clearly present. I love the smile--and the fact that the presence of braces on the subject's teeth are actually genuinely flattering because of how you've framed the shot. |

where do we go for breakfast? by primabarbaraComment: It's funny -- I instantly registered the delightful Audrey Hepburn inspiration for this, but it took me a while to catch the Breakfast at Tiffany's reference. :-P
A beautiful portrait all around. Honestly, I don't see any issue with the nose, either. I love the personality radiating from the expression. It's clear your daughter has learned to trust your instincts behind the camera--and I have much to learn from that. :-)
Congrats on a well-deserved win! |

Cadiby NeatComment: Brilliant processing choices here, and a well-composed shot that I just love staring at. :-) |

The Chaseby bjoernComment: I really enjoyed this image. It's really well captured--especially with not just one, but two riders relatively crisply in focus for such a kinetic composition. I'm sure its placement here only stems from the lack of dramatic background blur. But in the upcoming Sports challenge, for instance, this would have been a major contender! Congrats. |
