ICU2! @F5.6by glad2badadComment: One of my top scores this challenge. Expertly captured and exquisitely presented, with the optics doing so much heavy lifting. Astounded this didn't make the front page. |

f 2.8by NeatComment: Standards for storytelling are set by images like this one. This was a top pick for me. |

f2 - I See Youby rozComment: I have zero notes, Roz. I think your edit is outstanding. The grain reads as fully intentional as a stylistic choice; I would never have guessed it was "covering" up or "compensating" for anything--other than, perhaps, to add a sense of timeless imperfection to an otherwise doll-like subject. :-) And this reminds me why I need to get myself a portrait prime with a wider aperture someday... f/9by RefocusedComment: You know you have something special when even the thumbnail version excites you. But that "expression" you captured for this subject gives this pristine image just the level of whimsy it needs to not take itself too seriously. It doesn't get much better than that. |

F 4.0 by jomariComment: This is a wonderful image, Marion, and one of my highest votes. So glad to see it up here on the front page, where it belongs. :-) |

Complete attention at 600mm f/4 by KristjanUnnarComment: More of that gorgeous color handling I just love so much in your work. I get what you mean about your kit's contribution, but I guarantee I could have used the same setup and it would have rendered flat by comparison. Congrats! |

f8-Legged Freak by MartusComment: Wonderful work. Thanks for sharing your notes, too! I have yet to try focus stacking; it just seems to require more patience than I can muster with a particular subject like this. But these spiders are indeed fascinating, and your image really shows this one off beautifully. Congrats! |
