I have zero notes, Roz. I think your edit is outstanding. The grain reads as fully intentional as a stylistic choice; I would never have guessed it was "covering" up or "compensating" for anything--other than, perhaps, to add a sense of timeless imperfection to an otherwise doll-like subject. :-) And this reminds me why I need to get myself a portrait prime with a wider aperture someday...

You know you have something special when even the thumbnail version excites you. But that "expression" you captured for this subject gives this pristine image just the level of whimsy it needs to not take itself too seriously. It doesn't get much better than that.

Wonderful work. Thanks for sharing your notes, too! I have yet to try focus stacking; it just seems to require more patience than I can muster with a particular subject like this. But these spiders are indeed fascinating, and your image really shows this one off beautifully. Congrats!
