 mother's day with my daughter and her hanger's on ..

this is Isla .. who had a dirty face from the food she had been eating and also a runny nose .. not great looks for a portrait that's for sure .. !! ..

i was just taking random pics .. not thinking of this challenge .. if i had i would have cleaned up that lovely little face ..

i'm not happy with the edit .. and the grain was my way of lessening the 'dirty face noise' .. 🥲

and if anyone was interested i'd love to give them the original to see how they'd edit it .. 🙂

I have zero notes, Roz. I think your edit is outstanding. The grain reads as fully intentional as a stylistic choice; I would never have guessed it was "covering" up or "compensating" for anything--other than, perhaps, to add a sense of timeless imperfection to an otherwise doll-like subject. :-) And this reminds me why I need to get myself a portrait prime with a wider aperture someday...
