Gorgeous blue. It really offsets the stark colors of the bird. The spread wings give a sense of drama and the perspective gives a nice height to the image. I can really feel a solitude here. Focus is pretty good, wish the bird was a little sharper though. The natural light brightens everything up, but it does seem too harsh in the sky and a bit on the white feathers. A good photo overall though. 6

Heh! What a fun image. This little guy looks lost! Great capture. Nice use of space and the lighting is good. I think this image really works because my perceptions are that a penguin should be by snow - this beach like scene really makes him stand out as in the wrong place. Very nice. 8

Beautiful scene. I love the reflection, the colors and the focus are all excellent. The natural light is great, but a bit harsh on the rock pillar. I like the composition but I'm flipflopping on whether the tree on the left distracts too much or not. On one hand it helps add depth to the image, but on the other its so prominent in the foreground that it draws the eyes away and out of the image. Its a toss up. I think this is a very strong photo, well done. 7

What a great image. I love the black & white, there are some excellent lines in the photo that really stand out. Lighting is good, focus is great. I wish the crop was a little tighter on the left side - that sign or graffiti is a bit distracting. I think this fits the challenge in general, because the woman draws the eyes and she is essentially alone, but all the birds do add another element so I can't exclude them from the image. Still its a great shot. Very nice. 9

Fits the challenge perfectly. The title helps bring in some solitude or loneliness to the image (knowing its the last). I love the color, both in its brightness and the contrasts. Good perspective. The lighting is a little overbright for me on the pear, but not so much it makes a huge negative impact. A well taken photo. 7

Lovely child! The lighting looks good, the shadows give a faint feeling of loneliness to her face. Nice focus, the shadows portion of her face seems to have a softer focus though - would prefer even focus on the whole face - this could just be because of the shadows. A nice image. 6

Great perspective, I love all the long shadows (would've been perfect for shadows II). The sense of distance really brings out the alone aspect, I like the tones. Focus is pretty good, wish the girl was a little sharper though. I think the perspective is what really draws my interest. Very nice 7

Very vivid colors, I like all the angles too. Definitely fits the challenge. I wish the picture itself was larger though. Also, the bush on the right hand side is a little distracting - it detracts from the angular feel of the image. Overall a good shot. 6
