I've lived across the street from this woman for over 12 years. At around 2 pm everyday, hundreds of pigeons line our building and hers waiting for her. Rain or shine, she never lets them down. Recently her husband developed some sort of dementia. Over the years, I'd often wonder what her life must be like but now it seems clear. I didn't capture what I set out to, but this is my ode to her.

What a great image. I love the black & white, there are some excellent lines in the photo that really stand out. Lighting is good, focus is great. I wish the crop was a little tighter on the left side - that sign or graffiti is a bit distracting. I think this fits the challenge in general, because the woman draws the eyes and she is essentially alone, but all the birds do add another element so I can't exclude them from the image. Still its a great shot. Very nice. 9

Very nice contrast, interesting photo, but with all those pidgeons, is she/he really alone?

Very good human interest study. I like the use of B&W. One small thing is it's not level. That throws off the compostion a little,, 7

Good shot, I dont exactly agree that the subject is composed to portray loneness or solitude, but I can see the connection. Unfortunately the perspective of the house detracts a little, but a good scorer nonetheless

For whatever reason, this photo does not seem straight. But the roof is running uphill to the left and conversely, the porch is running downhilll, but also to the left. For whatever reason, it looks a little off to me. The concept of the photo is very good though.
