The kitties are beautiful, I really like the smokey one! I did find the photo a bit difficult though because of the blurred aspect of it. I don't know if that was a deliberate choice, but for me it detracts from the photograph, over emphasizing the softness of the cats' fur and making it a strain to see detail.

I love the composition of this photograph. Its very earthy and has a natural feel to it, plus it evokes serenity and rest to me perfectly - and in a rather unique way. Where is this taken? I love it!

I enjoy this photo at its basic level, but I feel as though the dog and the vista are competing for the viewers attention. The dog also tends to get slightly lost against the background with the similarities in color between it and the mountains, but I can appreciate the differences in texture between its fur and the mountain. I do like that aspect.

I gave this a lower rating because the darkness of the photo had me straining to see the composition or any detail.

I gave this a lower score than it may have received in a different challenge mainly because it didn't seem to fit the challenge parameters. The subject didn't appear to be in a restful state to me and instead of instilling calm (though the title gives me a hint as to the thought behind the photo) it actually gave me a feeling of menace or looming. That said, I do like the black against blue and find the picture interesting.

I liked the idea behind this photograph, but I did find the intense light by the door a bit distracting. Also, while I definitely like the 'distance' shot, it did seem a little too far away making it hard to see much detail of the person in the corner. Still, a good shot. :)

I really like this photograph. To me it gives an excellent feeling of peace, as the outer-ring of people all appear to be in the the process of an action (laughing) and yet the focus, and clarity is on the young lady looking directly at the camera. That gives me a sense of stillness and calm - much like those moments you read about where two people make eye contact and the world stands still. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for, but that's what it evoked to me. :)

This little guy is all over adorable. But beyond that I love the difference of color between him and the chair or whatever it is he's sleeping on. His face is definitely what draws your attention and the focus on it is excellent in my opinion. Great job!

The more I look at this photo, the more it draws me in. I definitely like the contrast in the colors and the shapes, as well as the inherent fragileness of the egg compared to the strength depicted in the chair and figure. The color is very nice. It does seem a bit fuzzy though I do not know if this was intentional or a result of downsizing - regardless it does give it a dreamlike quality. Excellent job!

The subject just screams personality. I like the detail in his/her fur and the orangey color as well. He looks as if he was purposely posed for a portrait picture! I even like the black border which to me holds the picture together nicely. The lil bugger sure looks pleased with himself!
