this shot leaves me thinking more about what is not shown than-- the cuo, the piture-- what is in the frame; the crop on the right side is pretty close, leaving just a bit more space between the edge of the cup's rim and the border would have avoided confusion as to whether part of the rim was cut out

Thanks to all who commented. I really don't like B&W pics, but, in the spirit of Something New, I thought I'd have a go at it. This was shot in B&W, not converted from color. The separation between the boy and the background leaves came with curves adjustment, and was needed because he was blended in way too much. It was a very bright sunny day so maybe the original was just too over exposed to salvage. I thought the emotion of the situation, with the help of the title, would carry the image's weaknesses. Guess it was just one of those cases of "You had to be there to get it". Don't think I'll be entering any more B&W's for a while, LOL.
