Awesome shot! Top 10 finish! Way to go dude! Obviously you don't need any criticism on this shot. Perfect angle and lighting. |

Every Day Rhythmsby tngrndreamComment: Trading post...
I see the rhythms in the line placement. This is a nice setup but not really eye catching. The things that could be improved (don't take this the wrong way) would be using dishes that were newer looking, you can see the scratches at the bottom of the bowl as well as a small spot (or stain) on the side of the largest plate. Also, maybe a matching blue background. I didn't score this challenge, but would have given you a 5. |

Very cool shot! The colors are great as is the focus. The only fault I can find is the very bright white of the background with the blow out in the top left corner (my left when looking at it). I didn't vote this challenge but would have given it a 7. |

Reminds me of a catalog photo. This wouldn't hold my interest much except as an advertisment for a collectable. My husband's a big Nascar fan, me not so much. Technically for this type of image I don't think you're supposed to have shadows. The crop works well. Overall, a good commercial image. |

Parade vendors appeal to all agesby MelethiaComment: Trading post...
I gave this a 6. There is a lot that could be improved on in this one, but that's true of most newspaper shots. Since the baby seems to be the focus it would have been nice to see more of his/her face. The focus also seems to be a bit soft. |

Light and shadowby MelethiaComment: Trading post...
I liked this. It's an appealing visual. The shadow play is very nice and consistent. The texture of the post and wall show through very nicely as well. It's the type picture I see hanging in office buildings everywhere. Maybe you should market it! |

No place to lie his weary head, but $5 richer this day.by ericwooComment: Trading post...
I actually voted this a 7. I'm surprised it didn't do better. Great facial expression. The feet were blown out though. If you look close you can see toes, otherwise it looks like socks. I guess the 'clean' look of him hurt you as homeless usually equals dirty. |

Two worlds - One bus stopby timfythetooComment: Trading post...
First off, I voted a 6 on this. I thought it was a great photograph and really tells a story about the division between people. What I thought could have made it better was if both benches were fully in the frame. It just seems that part of the photo was cut off. Nothing you could really do about that though without losing some of the details of the people. Great job! |
