i swear this was done with mirrors, yet still scored it highly.
my thinking was an oval mirror with an apple affixed, worn like a mask - the subject was then also standing in front of a mirror. the chess board was in front of both mirrors. what i coudn't figure was how the camera was hidden from the reflection, and obviously it wasn't ;}
