October 16th 1816by nicoengelbrechtComment: In a morbid way I've always really liked graveyard shots. I think the shot's well composed, but I find the trees in the background a little distracting. If there was a way to enhance the lettering on the gravestone it might have been nice to see them more clearly too.
But, there's a nice dissarray of stonesin the background. The trees in the BG aren't as distracting as I first thought they were. |

Moth Moonsby tomeComment: I love how smooth this feels. The palm and the lights match the silky sky so well. Nice work. |

Distorted Spheresby HarryYComment: This is a nice simple image. I've always liked how bubbles interact. It's fascinating. I like the use of the DOF on this, and the light dispersion halow on the bigger bubbles is nice. |

Gilding the lilyby NMNelmsComment: I think the best part of this photo is the collection of those five things (I don't know what they're called) that come from the centre of the flower. It seems to me that some of the water droplets are more in focus than that is. It kind of draws the attention away from the.... power point of the shot I'm afraid to say.
Great composition, though. And I count water drops as spheres! |

Antique Bottles and Shapesby LydiaComment: Love the tones, colours, age, and feel.
One thing I can't quite make out (and I think I'll be giving you the benefit of my doubt) is whether the glar-like looking thing on the top right is from flash/lighting. I don't think it is cause it's there at the bottom too. If it isn't due to the lighting I think it'd look better with a consistent one. I like that none of the balls are nice and flat. |

Orbsby photomill31Comment: DNMC!
Just kiddin'! Lots of spheres here. Nice deep colours in the blue. I'm not a big fan of the green ones, but I like how they look through the big one in the centre.
Actually. It's not very central, is it? It's a little leftish. Was that intentional? |

My Spheres of Influenceby asamiteComment: I like the setup and the simple idea. I think the lighting you used on top was just a little too bright -- especially on the yellow ball there's a big white part. |

The Old Boat Houseby CJinCAComment: This picture screams of age - the window, the power cable, the glass, the stickers, the broken glass, the back wall, the framing.
I like how the picture frame kind of blends in with the wooden one.
Not sure how well it'll be received, but I think you did a great job!
I just became a member so I can vote on this now :) |
