I scored this in my below average range because the photo has little compositional coherence. Without the title, it would be tough to understand the intent of the large foreground portion of the image being taken by the leather chair.

Well... it's way out of focus and doesn't "pop." The whites are blown out and the blacks lack detail. The (apparent) subject is not centered or placed to follow the rule of thirds. It's hard to make out what exactly the subject is and where there's a sofa, chair, or bed. I'd have a hard time giving this anything over a 1 or 2.

...except that it's so dang mesmerizing to look at, and the ambiguity of the title along with the implications of the lines, shapes, and light create a fascinating window to a story I'd like to know more about. Wow.
