I don't think I should like this as well as I do. Very simple, interesting and unusual composition. I just can't decide if sending my eye to the lower left is working. It seems that my eyes don't ever get settled looking at it, but keep wandering diagonally lower left to upper right... an interesting paradox for a theme of silence/stillness. Hmmm....

In response to the title... the longer you look, the more you see. My first impression was very positive for this image... then I started to be distracted by the lighting umbrella and silhouette of the photographer that is reflected in the water beads.

The image alone is quite strking... the implication that that feather has created the ripple is thought-provoking and clever. Vignetting on three of four corners is subtle. I like this more, the more I look at it. Kudos!

Very creative color and exposure range. I'm still not sure whether the subtle cheek line is really there or totally implied against the white background. Nice.

The composition is quite effective. I think the fine detail of the flower against the back could have been larger for better clarity. This may be fine in print or greater enlargement, but with a 640 pixel limit there's too much detail loss for my taste....==

This is really striking. And... it gets better with each viewing. The distinct color highlight changes on the inside of the bowl's rim are especially effective. And... I'm intrigued by what reflected orb in the water may actually be. Works on lots of levels. Kudos.

Very nice. This works for me on several levels... including connection to the challenge theme. The placement of the subject so close to the bottom of the frame is nicely offset by the effect of the gradient. I like it better each time I see it.

For me the scale of the subject in relation to the negative space is quite effective. Perhaps the flower could be better defined?

Cleverly designed composition and juxtaposition. The fringing on the edges of the goldfish and rocks is somewhat distracting. Overall it made a good first impression visually and as a representation of the theme.
