Placed an old ivory statue in a baking pan of water wrapped in a black Tshirt, clipped a tiny flower (its about 1/4 inch side to side) from the weeds that are the back lawn.

levels, cloned out junk in the water, sharpened and increased saturation on the flower and the reflection with a high pass filter, saved for web and usm

On reflection, the statute is too plastic compared to the flower. They don't gel.

For me the scale of the subject in relation to the negative space is quite effective. Perhaps the flower could be better defined?
