Dawn of the dead by Alex_PetriniComment: I'm very happy to see that a photo with a creative concept and a story actually won this one :-) Congratulations! Great idea, great execution, absolutely deserved ribbon. |

Parallelby CoryComment: I'm usually not fond of architecture shots, but this one is wonderful. I love the power of the lines, the perfect geometry, and obviously the great work on the b&w conversion. My favorite of the challenge. |

Just one question: where do you keep your gear as your collection grows? Photos please :) |
Thank you, much appreciated.
My gear and photo related stuff is slowly but surely colonizing a room in my house. At first it was supposed to be a library, but now it's more a photo studio with some books on the side ;) |

A Lonely Danceby gyabanComment: Originally posted by Neat: Oh wow, just going back on photos I commented on, and realised this was your's Christophe, what a trememdously beautiful photo, is she your daughter ? |
Thank you!
No she's not, I don't have children. Just a random little girl dancing at a wedding party I was invited to. |

Well, that's even more impressive. I wouldn't dare to try it this way before a couple additional arms grafts ;-) Congrats again. |

Surface Tension by KarenNfldComment: Congratulations on your ribbon Karen :-) I love the lighting work on this one, I suspect it is not easy to achieve as it looks. I'd say you used a window and blinds for the patterns, and a softbox for added light on the paper clip, am I about right? |

Bubble and splash by william88Comment: Congratulations William, the bubble is a refreshing addition to the concept: it's the first time I see a soap bubble next to a droplets collision. Also, given your explanations on the timing, I'm sure it required a good amount of work and patience :-)
May I ask what hardware you used for the droplets? Some kind of micro-controller commanding a solenoid valve I suppose? |
