Lydia! What a pleasant surprise to see you back. Congratulations on the ribbon, it is a very nice entry. I love the tones, and the expression of the dog is priceless.

Here is my revenge after the DNMC II challenge: my turn to win by a hair! ;-)
Very funny entry Alessandro, the shots work definitely very well together, great choice of photos. Congrats on the red!

Thanks a lot Girish! I do hope you are joking about your participation to challenges though, it is the entrants that make DPC interesting after all. As for tutorials, I usually look at the usual ones (youtube, etc.) but feel free to contact me if you want any information. I am always glad to help if I can.

When I look at your works, I find that I very quickly reproach my self to lighten up and enjoy your wonderfully absurd sense of humour, and your unparalleled (at least at DPC) mastery of digital imagery. DPC is very lucky to have you in the community. Congratulations, and thank you.

Paul, thanks a lot. Much, much appreciated. I feel the need to answer you: I'll do it in a PM.

Thanks Wendy, much appreciated! I would imagine that watching me working on an image would be painfully boring, as it is often a slow process. However, it sure would be fun to meet, be sure to drop me a message when your trip is planned :)

Bricks, but I changed the proportions of the original photos to make them narrower, and suggest book shapes.

I love that one Wendy, the idea is great and perfectly fits the challenge. Just a little tip for the next time you want to use that effect: according to your notes, you pasted the "magazine into the magazine" just once at a time, which of course works, but is painfully slow ;) If you do it a first time, from there instead of doing it directly a second time, you can copy the *whole* resulting picture again, and paste that inside. This way, the first time, well, you copy just one magazine, but the second time you add 2 other magazines inside, then the third time you add 4 others magazines inside, and so on. Doing this five times would give you 2^0+2^1+2^2+2^3+2^4 = 31 magazines inside the big one, probably more than enough. Anyway, congratulations on your fine work, I really enjoyed it!

Yes! What a fantastic entry Alessandro. My favorite of the challenge, hands down. I love how everything is perfectly organized: the wand and the eyes point perfectly to the repeated pictures, which are also underlined by the hand, the magician theme is a very clever choice given the challenge topic, the curvy red curtains work great with the main spiral... Great, great work. Hats off! ;-)

You got me there Mary Ann, I was convinced this was Wendy's entry. Great work! I love the tones, the bright orange works like a charm on this rich brown background, when put in the perspective of the repeat images. Congratulations on your great finish :)
