Class of 86by karmatComment: I think the lighting on the back part is a bit too bright and the "86" is too centered, but those are picky. It's a nice macro even if u don't take my advice ;oP ~indi |

Piano Blueby SeekerComment: YAY for focus! There just isnt enough in these entries *sigh* I like how it glows. Good job with lighting it. I'm not sure I like the crop. I don't like the extra space on the left and that the top and bottom are cut. I think that if you are gonna crop it tight you shoulda tried it as a portrait and just focused on the part with the piano. Quality is evident tho even if the subject doesn't jump out. ~indi |

Paphiopedilumby FrooberComment: This is cool. I like the colors. I'd like to see more of the flower in the photo I think. The bottom is just so focused and then the top fades into the white which seems a little odd. Good job with lighting! ~indi |

Mine all Mine!by athenaComment: Lighting is too bright on the right side (lost all detail in the hot spot) which is sad cause it is such a cool shot. |

Astronomically Smallby indigo997Comment: I don't really think there's much to explain once you know that it is glass, but I'm glad that people liked it. I had thought about doing bubbles and then realized that these candle holders had really cool bubbles in them. The trick was getting them in focus and lit well. Unfortunately, they reflected EVERYTHING in the room, but I was the only person. The brown thing on the right side is a cardboard box. |

Cheese and Crackersby DougPazComment: Good lighting on the crackers. Extra points for focus which seems to be lacking around here ;oP The cheese could be lit a little more. I like it tho! ~indi |

Not What She Was Expectingby karmatComment: I thought about doing this theme, but couldn't think of a good photo. It definitely meets the challenge, but as a photo on its own ... I don't think it'd do well on photosig. That's my big complaint about some of these challenge. They just aren't good opportunities to take nice photos *sigh* Other than the topic (which can't be helped when they give us such bad ones), focus is a tad soft maybe. ~indi |

The Lucky Pennyby magnetic9999Comment: High quality shot. Really cool lighting. I like the slant - it creates an illusion all on its own b/c the penny isn't rolling ;oP Nice reflection. What would u think of putting a shoe in the pic? Just a thought. ~indi |

Luck of the Irishby DougPazComment: VERY nice! I always love photos with good color. The gradation in the bg is very cool, and the focus is awesome for a macro. Are the stems always yellow? That looks a little weird (fades into the bg too much), but you can't do much to change it ... or can you? I have some green paint ;oP 8 ~indi |
