Clean Energy Industry (Solar Dish Farm) by FocusPointComment: Very, very, very nice.. I suspect you are beating me soundly with this image... What a wonderful shot, and a beautiful place..
Shame this was basic editing, as I would have liked it even better without the power lines (which you did, in all fairness, do a good job of hiding...) 8 |

Port Botany Expansion Project - Sydney by rozComment: Wow. There are few who can get just quite this level of detail into a DPC shot... And an Aussie at that huh?
Very nicely done, my top pick, it's getting a 9 instead of a 10, only because the sky has been darkened a bit too much I think.. Otherwise an excellent, excellent, excellent image. |

Colors of Coal Harborby JacksonGarietyComment: I don't get it, how is this industrial? I mean sure, there's in industry that manufactures boats, but...? Storage industry? that's a stretch for sure.
Not a great photo either, certainly not a bad composition, but it could have been stronger if you were a bit more to the left.
The processing is where this just falls flat. Sorry, really I am, but this isn't striking me as quality "Industrial" imagery. |

Complementarityby jfritz27Comment: While I am sure this is somehow related to the theme, I'm afraid it doesn't exactly scream industrial at me.. Still a beautiful photo of excellent (and complementary indeed..) colors.. Message edited by author 2010-08-05 18:32:45. |

Sprinklerby dianapf1Comment: A rather competent photo of a subject that is a stretch for the challenge.
I can see two or three arguments for this representing industry, all of which are weak at best.
- Applicability aside, I would like to examine the photograph -
The white background is always hard to pull off in a basic challenge, and on this point you did darn well, it's clean and bright.
The subject, frankly, is horrible. It's just worn enough to be ugly, but not nearly worn enough to be charming.. Oh and that color is awful, next time choose a bright green sprinkler head, or a new black one :)
Your composition is fine, but nothing special, a centered composition can work for some photographs, but this might have been much more interesting in a rule of thirds crop.
In the end, I found this slightly below average, and awarded it a 5 accordingly.
Good try, keep asking questions and trying hard, you'll have a shiny ribbon soon enough I'm sure! :) |

I don't know what you are talking about in this comment or you last comment. It doesn't make any sense! |
:) I "called it" that this was your entry.. (see my comment below that is not marked as helpful :))
I certainly don't understand you, but I do find great amusement in your images... |
