Rainy Day Watercoloursby ekmaiComment: The kinetic energy and movement in this is fantastic - all the brilliant colours, shapes and lines blur together like wet watercolours. Abstract, understated and engaging. |

Umbrella and Ivyby banmornComment: Red-Blue-Green tri-colour scheme is simple but highly effective in this composition. The tones are brilliant and the contrasts not only of hue but of semi-straight curves against the curled ivy. Very nice, definitely eyecatching. |

rippled butterfly by LelezComment: Definitely a unique sideways point of view. The rainbow colours in this are beautiful as are the predominently blue water ripples. |

Poor Man's Bird Feederby DCNUTTERComment: I would not have ever thought to use a brolley as a birdfeeder (and it might provide a semblance of shelter as well to the winged creatures of the Earth)so that is a creative out of the box idea. This pretty blue bowled brolley is in great contrast to the rest of the stark snowy landscape. This is a great & unique Winter composition. |

Colorful Umbrellasby Keith_WComment: Love the brilliant metallic colours in this and the shapes of the repeating circles and arcs of circles. The snowflake designs on the mini-brolleys also provide a nice touch. |

Out Of Seasonby HipychikComment: The starkness of black and white works very well for this. I like the upturned umbrella bowl catching the fragile dusting of the snow. |

Disposableby scarbrdComment: The very selective desaturation in this draws the eye directly to the pink apparently discarded brolley, then the curved path takes you farther to the children, one of whom has a colourful jacket while the tones of the father's slacks mimic the colours of the empty bench. The passerby way way in the distance has just a hint of pink pants too completing the circle. Lines are supreme in this - the trash can, the benches, the pathways, the bridge, the upright trees in the Park - all echoing and reinforcing the whole composition but it takes careful study to realise this. Superb & understated. |

Nature Umbrellaby liangdaweiComment: While the gold tones of this provide a feeling of warmth, it takes a good eye to spot the natural umbrellas of the 'shrooms. Perhaps these are Faery Brolleys...Linear reinforcement in this is superb. |
