Lifeby snafflesComment: Yes, Life is indeed Delicate and Fragile and sometimes cruel as well.
"Now is the Winter of our Discontent made Glorious Summer by this Sun", whom this poor bird shall see no more. Eloquent capture. |

dendrobium orchidby sarsonukComment: The translucent inner green in the orchid centre is just gorgeous. The backlighting really brings out the white and the shape. |

Elegance within Chaos by DennisheckmanComment: Each is marvelously unique in structure, so delicate and fragile that a single warm breath will destroy them forever yet you have captured their supreme beauty in a wonderful jumble of intertwining crystalline perfection. You have my highest praises for the complexity of this photograph. |

kaleidosby skewsmeComment: A miniature Camera Obscura view contained within the fragile drops. I love the pastellised pink softness and how it sets the drops out as the main subject immediately. The Greek Kaleidos=Beautiful, and it is. |

ICEby findlabComment: How beautiful and fleeting are these fragile crystals with their intricate overlapping patterns - this is just SUPERB. |

Balance by bspurgeonComment: An interesting and unusual point of view provides a powerful shot in this challenge. I like the crop as it focuses the eye on the precarious equilibrium of the child. |

Nestby RetroesqueComment: How carefully the twigs were crafted and curved into shape to serve the nestlings who have now long gone in this. The fluffs of the blown in remains of the seed pods almost resemble an ironic substitute. You have managed to capture both delicate and poignant in one superb shot. |

Bubble Dreams by WeJayComment: What a poignant look on the face of the observing child. Is she entranced by the spectacle of the bubbles? Does she feel outside and wanting to participate? Does the older woman see within as the vendor is clearly pointing her to? The face of the man on the far right is watching too while the woman in the spotted blouse has turned her back to chat with him and the other vendor is self absorbed. I suspect there are as many tales in this photograph as there are balloons and bubbles, each waiting to be told. |
