Escape by shankswareComment: Cute idea. I think less separation between the egg and the chicken might have helped. My eyes keep jumping back and forth between the two areas of the image. |

Lucky Eggby zitaeliasComment: I love the simplicity of this, the limited palette, with the one splash of red. Well thought out, different, and creative!. Initially I felt that the egg in the foreground was too close to the frame, but I now think the "tension" that creates is a positive feature. |

Down the Drainby MagnumphotographyComment: I'm guessing these are overlapping blue plates, with white/purple trim, and the top one is tilted for the egg to slide, and with the stripes refracted through the viscous egg white in some areas. Just a guess, but anyway it's a creative and fun image. |

I'm not your mother...by BuddyBaumComment: Lovely capture with the amount of the eyes visible here really showing this kitten's enormous concentration. Excellent focus along with great use of shallow DOF. Love it! |

Controlled Chaosby jegerComment: This didn't come up in the partial voting I did. It's just wonderful. So well seen. I love the "splashes" of green and blue with white bands adjacent to them. Also the fans of feathers in the extended wings. Congratulations on a top 10 finish. |

Old Meets Newby PennyStreetComment: Congratulations on being member of the week. I really like this image. You managed the placement of the reflections against the horizontal curving lines really well. Message edited by author 2010-03-08 12:14:45. |

Early Morning in Central Parkby bcrantsComment: I like the shapes and patterns of the bench and the use of black and white. It feels like the bench is the main subject so to my eyes the right half of the picture is mainly a distraction, visually. I think the image would be improved with much of the right side cropped.
Later: this does not bother me now nearly as much as it did originally, perhaps just a slight crop to eliminate that tall tower!! Bump ... |

Urban Oasisby toddw62Comment: Interesting POV and great processing. However, I find that my eye is jumping back and forth between the person and their shadow and the bright falling water, never settling anywhere. This creates a slightly uncomfortable feeling. |

Poetic Motionby mpetersComment: Took me a second to see the wind farm on the horizon, and I like the combination of that with the geese in flight. The back lit clouds are lovely. This is an image that grows on me, but there seems to be somewhat of a noise problem in the clouds in the top half of the image. |

Perfume Delightby libertyComment: Beautiful shapes in this opening rose, and some nice back lighting on parts of it, but the processing has destroyed any feeling of softness in the petals, and looks like it introduced some unnatural colors. |
