i like the green leaves and the water on the leaves and the rosehip, nice thought to, more unusual fruit in this challenge. i think i would like to see the rosehip not quite as much on the right of the photo, and not with the yellow blurry leaf in the background just above it. the rest of the blurry background is fine. -- gr8photos.

nice idea, and i like the composition of it all. i'm sure you are getting this question a lot, but why b&w? pumpkins have great colors usually, and i'm wondering whether that wouldn't have looked better. but then, i haven't seen the original ... oh, and btw, i'm not universally opposed to b&w, i know there's been much discussion in the forums about that. -- gr8photos (5)

nice idea to keep the photo all in shades of green, melon's make a great subject for this challenge. i would've preferred some more even lighting, either put it all the way in the shade (probably better, no sun reflection) or all the way in the sun. -- gr8photos.

wow, i love this. and not just because i REALLY like strawberries. you captured theirr color very well, there's only a little reflection which adds a spark to the photo and i love how the cup paritally melts into the background. my top 5 this week. -- gr8photos (10).

totally cool idea. i usually don't go for 'cut off' faces, but it works really well here to show just the eyes (and him looking up is a great touch). while the background isn't really distracting, i think this would have looked good in front of a plain black one, too. and maybe just get all of the arrow in to the right. but these things are nitpicky ... i really like the idea and execution ... you are in my top 5 this week. -- gr8photos (10)

hm. i'm not sure what to make of your photo. so let me start with the things i like. the lighting is very nice, i like all the warm tones, and the black background is great, too. the candle is the brightest object in the photo, and therefore to me the main object, not the fruit. and i don't think i'm quite getting the reason for why you put the objects into the photo that you did, but that is probably just me. so, technically a good photo, you would've scored higher though if the fruit was more of the central object in my opinion. -- gr8photos (5)

'blood' doesn't look very convincing, it is too light, and i wonder why you used such a small knife. what is that anyway? almost looks like a cardboard cutout? i'm sure that was deliberate, but i think i would've preferred a real knife. -- gr8photos (5)
