To answer your title: yes. But they are not quite the main focus of the pic as I would've hoped for the challenge. To me, the focus is more overall darkness. Apart from that, nice composition, the eye is lead all the way along to the fence. Overall, the pic is a little too dark on my comp, there are details that I would like to be able to see.

Sorry, but I'm really not seeing much of a tie to the challenge here. Aside from that, the white thing poking into the shot at the bottom is distracting and there's not much else to hold my interest.

More like soul reflection. Even though I see how you are tying this photo to the challenge, I think the challenge description was clear enough to specify that the shadow was supposed to be one of the kind that are caused by objects blocking out the light, so you didn't really meet the challenge in my mind. Sorry.

Hm. I'm sure there's something you are trying to tell us with this shot that I'm not getting. To me, it's just an OOF keyboard that's rather too dark. Oh, yes, and it happens to have some shadows, too. Sorry.

Personally, I would've preferred if your whole head was in the pic, and the white line and shadows in the top right corner were not. But that's just my opinion.

Steve, your outtakes really do give away your contest submission - this is supposed to be anonymous! As for the shot, I think it's much more about the people and the dog rather than the shadows, even though there are shadows in the photo. The girls face looks a little washed out, so do the guy's legs.

Wow, this would've done well in stop motion and even people. Great timing to get the shadow all the way on the half-pipe and the concentration on the guys face. Love how sharp your shot is. My top 10 this week.

This shot is so dark on my computer that I cannot make out what it is. I even tried increasing the brightness in an editing program, but no luck.
