Plastic Fantastic Water Danceby daysezComment: i TOTALLY have no idea what i'm looking at or how you created this shot (different color lights on cling wrap? what's that at the bottom?). i guess that may be a compliment because you probably set out to confound the viewers. congratulations. middle of the road vote because i don't know whether to go high or low on it. -- gr8photos (5) |

Sweet Spotby AaronComment: did you crop this out of a much larger photo? i suspect you did because of the pixelation. that's unfortunate, because otherwise this would be a totally awesome shot. the other flower in the bottom left is distracting, too, outside of this competition you'd be able to clone that out of course. -- gr8photos (3) |

Serenity Nowby elliottwhitleyComment: i wouldn't mind being there right now. overall, i think the shot could do with just a little bit of gamma reduction and less brigthness. that way, the beach has a little more texture to it and it nost so almost-white. -- gr8photos (5) |

Half & Halfby chariotComment: i like this one. i'm assuming you converted to b&w to make it look more abstract, and it works, but i'm wondering how it would work in color. would you have needed more blue sky? anyway, great idea and implementation! -- gr8photos (7) |

Luna Mothby MelanicusComment: this is a great shot. i love the clarity of detail of the antlers against the black background and the fingers give a good impression of just how small the moth is. my top 5 this week -- gr8photos (10) |

Tubeby networkguyComment: i'm trying to figure out what station you took this one in ... looks like it's on the northern line if i remember correctly (it's been a while ...). anyway, perspective is nice, but it's not the most interesting shot to me (beyond trying to figure out the exact location ;), and could do with a tad more sharpening. -- gr8photos (5) |

Yeaaaa...an audienceby jbolingComment: sorry, but this looks rather like a snapshot to me. the rails going through the little boy's head, the reflection, and the sloping horizon (see the water). i know some of these things are either hard to control or out of your control altogether. -- gr8photos (3) |

Darn!! I missed the Bee!!by syamjonimiComment: shame you missed the bee, i know they can be frustrating to photograph. :) i'm wondering why you took the picture at the angle you did and rotated it this way. i just turned it upright to look at it, but then it's still a bit out of wack. i find that a little confusing and i'm not sure it adds to the shot. i do like the flower (i have those at home, but can never remember the name), and it would make a good shot for texture as well, don't you think? -- gr8photos (4) |

freeze driedby JEFFCOWLESComment: it does look kind of freeze-dried, doesn't it. the photo is very busy and not really sharp enough i think. also not enough contrast, especially between the plants on the right. unfortunately, i'm not sure what to say to try doing differently. :( -- gr8photos (3) |

Bench with a Viewby sjgleahComment: nice placement o the bench within the frame, and an ok view, too. would be nicer if it was more green, but i know that's outside of your control. what's inside your control (potentially) is the lighting. the shadow from the bench is quite harsh. was there a way of taking this in the late afternoon or early morning to have softer light (and maybe even a colorful sky depending on whether you are facing the right way?) -- gr8photos (5) |
