This is amazing! What a fascinating place! (I've been out on vacation, so just catching up on things. I replied to your comment on mine. :)

I need to study landscape photography more. None of my landscapes even remotely came across as "expanse". I think it's because I miss the foreground elements, or something like that.

This makes me want to go see Death Valley (ok, I already want to go for the night skies, but now I want to go even more. :)

I agree with you, actually. I just didn't have anything else that began to fit it. It was only when I saw that the birds were so far away, and yet so clear, that I thought that it might work for the challenge. I was quite surprised at the outcome!
