senseby TiberiusComment: This could be so fascinating, but the trees behind it just don̢۪t work with how great the rest is. Seven as is, but I think it could̢۪ve been a nine |

Infernoby hajekaComment: The colors are awesome - I̢۪m not sure what I̢۪m seeing, it even looks a tad gross, yet interesting. 7 and I̢۪ll have to come back and ponder it some more |

Ballerina in the Sky by SandyPComment: Very nice. I like it a lot. I wish you hadn't done the texture, though. I think it draws the eyes away from the gorgeous luminosity and textures in the wings. It just doesn't need it, imo. |

Call of the Void by LevTComment: I would love to be able to just copy this and try the same thing. I'm starting to entry photos into juried shows at a gallery. And I think this is just smashing (hmmm -- sounding a tad English, but smashing is just the right adjective!)
I keep thinking how I could change it up a bit, but it still seems like it would be copying it. I thought about an old, wrinkled woman's hand coming out of the upper right and a child's hand out of the lower left, but I'm not old or wrinkled enough, and I don't have little kids anymore. :)
Anyway, what a great idea and spectacularly executed! |

The Shadowsby jcarComment: Hey cool! This was my son's! Nicely seen, Jesse. I didn't know you leaned towards the abstract. I find it very interesting. Is it steam on the water, then? |

trailingby TiberiusComment: This is really lovely! I wish the bottom part was just a smidge lighter. I want to have move of a hint of what's hidden in the dark. But in my top 3 right now. |

Cosmosby MargaretNetComment: I know it's supposed to be dark, yet it seems too light for me. It's a beautiful photo. I'm curious if it's the blue tones that are bothering me. It's so blue on the snow. What happen's if you tone down the blue or warm up the image? |

Stormy Dusk, Blizzard Loomingby Bear_MusicComment: I can't tell what I think of this one. I seems too dark, so it looks muddy, yet it's kinda interesting. I get more interested as I look at it, but the too dark still seems to last in my mind. 6, I guess? I'll have to look at it again later. |

The Shadowsby jcarComment: I really like this! Most of the entries don't seem to have much to do with dark, but this is an interesting take on it. I like the halo behind the figure. I would have been tempted to do a portrait crop on it, but this crop is much more interesting. I like your choice. However, I would have put the figure off center. Moving it more to the left I think would be more effective. Nicely seen! |
