Naw -- I don't think you offended anyone, I think it's just because the statue looks disconnected and doesn't work in the shot. Some people are rather harsh on their votes. I gave it a 6 anyway because it was a good effort. It probably would have scored much higher without the statue. (or at least I would have scored it much higher without the statue. :)

Though now I really want to hear the story!! :)

This is so beautiful, Christophe. I never dreamed that it was three different churches! I love the light rays. I was thinking about those in a different challenge, and never had the nerve to even try. Wonderfully done -- and I continue to look forward to each description.
