AFLAC is the American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus, Ohio, which has run a TV ad campaign featuring people oblivious to the duck offering them insurance advice. Since initiating the ads in 1999, the company's name-recognition (in nationwide polling) has risen from 10 to 90 percent, so perhaps not everyone has remained oblivious.
