Love the color and subject ... wish the birds were farther to the right. Maybe consider cropping from the right to a square ... it feels "stronger" to me that way, and worth the sacrifice of more pretty sky.

Beautiful work ... I was inspired by the same section of the poem, but "had to" use a literal mosaic, not having either the location, gear, or talent to pull off a shot like this. Congratulations!

I love old office machines, but this might not be quite as surreal as you think -- you can get a kit to convert a manual typewriter into a USB keyboard for under $100 ... do let me know if you try that route!

I was curious how you shot this, since I couldn't find any distinctive shadows indicating that the sun was in the "correct" direction, and the small patch of blue suggested the possibility of a substantially clear sky above. I take it from your notes that it was somewhat more overcast than it looks?

Otherwise, I agree with Don -- it looks unreal, and got one of my highest votes. :-)
