Ut Ohhhhby willie55Comment: For this challenge, I think the face should pretty much fill the frame to emphasize the close-up effect. |

Redby JeanComment: Nice look/effect. I'd have deepened the shadow to try and lose the thread, but not a critical thing... |

Careful!!!by morterinComment: I like the gradually increasing density of the spines across the frame. I know sharp focus through the entire DoF is more popular -- I think it's also appropriate here. Good job avoiding over-sharpening -- I think it would have been easy to ruin this. |

Louieby WRenComment: For this challenge I'd have cropped way tighter -- maybe a vertical orientation with just his head and hands, none of his arms. |

Unzippedby JMSComment: I guess that meets the "up close and personal" component of the challenge! |

Jawsby jclark20001Comment: It looks like the focal plane ended up around the angle of the jaws. I think it would be stronger in tis case is the sharpest focus was more on the front teeth. |

All work and no playby brianedenComment: I'd have made this a tighter, vertical crop, so that more of his face and less of the "work" papers show, to emphasize the close-up effect. I like the lighting and expression. |

Red Hibiscusby WalenaComment: Most of the hibiscus around here is pink or orange --but I like the red best. |
