C-5 Galaxyby thelselComment: Did you wait for that jet to fly by or was it just a coincidence? Good job controlling the sun ... I've been shooting a lot of backlit flags lately myself -- it's an interesting "challenge." |

1:19 AMby QuadrajetComment: Looks like an effective time-exposure ... are those streaked clouds or aurora effects? |

Gazing...to be a Star!by SonifoComment: Effective use of unusual perspective for a portrait. Flesh-tones look a little grainy to me; I might try either smoothing them, or (post-challenge) running a Canvas (or similar) texture filter to give it a painted look and make the grain more "acceptable" to the average viewer. |

In the Spotlight by arnitComment: Exceptional detail considering the amount of backlight and a dynamic subject -- I look forward to reading what settings it took to do this. |

First Kiss of Lightby ToddhComment: As the cliche goes, you'd have to get up mighty early in the morning to beat that. Pretty much feels like being there. |

Lightby GolferDDSComment: I like photos which meet the challenge in multiple ways. I've used a similar diagonal black/white composition myself; I might have cropped it to the edge of the shadow on the right as it seems just a touch unbalanced now.
If it's cropped so tightly on the left because the feather's actually suspended instead of falling, I have an idea for doing that which might allow more background on the left. If the feather's falling, then never mind ... I don't think I can do that. |

Refractionby GordonComment: Beautiful use of DOF and lighting to create the "abstract" background. |
