 This was taken at Dunbar harbour in Scotland.

The helicopter had been hovering for some time before I got there.

I grabbed my camera and just took the one picture (It was on all automatic settings) I didn’t have time to look at the picture as the Police moved us on.

I like the colours all over the picture, the sky, the helicopter and the silhouette of the land it's hovering over.

As you say, right place, right time ... great colors. The conical gradient caused by the angle/thickness of the rotor is a unique effect among helicopter shots I've seen.
