INRIby jaclkal98Comment: I'm not usually that partial to Christian symbology, but this challenge was a really appropriate occasion -- good job. |

On the Edgeby KonadorComment: A good choice for this challenge, with the sign as the only foreground element, and the cool lights and clouds in the background.
The horizontal shape also lets the lights trail off into infinity on the right, reinforcing the pointing element of the sign. I wish you had a teeny bit more backround to the left of the sign; it looks a little crowded up against the left edge. |

Forgotten Peopleby browntComment: Perfect amount of motion blur in your blind marchers. I don't know if that bit of bright background needs to be quite that bright, but overall tone range (into the deep blacks) is great. |

Emersion From Inversionby f-32Comment: I'd have cropped out the little bit of branch (or whatever it is) in the very top-right corner. Otherwise, I like the way you have a contrast between warm and cold tones, along a strong diagonal. |

Mossby joannsComment: Looks a lot better than my last moss photo -- good job with the lighting and tone adjustments! |

Flash Photographer At Workby GeneralEComment: Thanks for the comments. Perhaps I should have titled it Flash Photographer Ruining My Shot. (Although the additional light probably made the ceiling look a bit better.)
I myself was impressed at capturing the flash -- the available exposure window must be pretty short. It's kind of like capturing a home run hitter at the moment the ball is in contact with the bat. Given the shutter-lag on my camera, it is a remarkable coincidence to me ....
Ah, I see the slight rotation now! |
