IMG_3668-small.jpgby thatcloudthereComment: It's hard to see all the nice detail on the moose with the backlighting situation. I might try making a mask for the two figures, and then re-adjusting the tone ranges of the subjects and background independently to see if it would bring out more detail without ruining the overall look. |

Old Gloryby KaBooMComment: Well, my flag photo is facing the "wrong" way too ... they DO make it with two sides.
When possible, it is desirable to have the Union (the blue block with the stars) in the upper-left as you view the photo; it depends on the circumstances of the photo-op as to whether that's possible.
You could violate "journalistic integrity" by flipping the shot though, I've dont that with one of my prints. It all depends on whether you prefer depicting the sun setting in the East ...
Please refrain from name-calling in the comments. Your opinion of the photo is welcome, your opinion of the photographer is less so .... |

I think maybe it creates the rippled foreground "reflection" from the upper image.
But it's an oustanding image however it's done. : ) |

Burnoff from Sugarcane cropby HeavyComment: I think fermenting it into ethanol for fuel or composting it would be a much better idea ... unless they're trying to extend the sugercane growing region up to Greenland. |
