Here are the basic steps. The figures in parentheses after the Curves are (Input=Output) values for the control points on the Curves graph.
-Printed out some question marks of various sizes and gray tones on clear film. Hung it up with some pants hangers, and used a standard swing-arm desk lamp to shine through it onto a whiteboard.
-Handheld, macro mode.
-Tungsten white balance
-Cropped, slight rotation
-Retouched a couple of small reflections near the top
-RGB Curve to improve contrast (29=12) (67=78)
-Individual Red, Green and Blue Curves to achieve the colorization
--Red: (0=100) (25=5) (56=62) (74=100)
--Green: (8=0) (69=72)
--Blue: (0=100) (6=76) (74=98) (96=10)
-Resized for DPC
-USM at 88%/16 dia/TH = 0
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 7/10 = 125kb
