The piled up pennies gives a feeling of scales of an animal. Very interesting idea. The composition would really be brought out if lighting was from the sides so that highlights and shadow would make the subjects pop out of the shot. Currently the hotspot on the one penny is distracting. "7'

Seems to separate the segments of the fingers all the way down the hand. Would love to see a version of this without all the details in the hands. The abstract lighting is great. "8"

The abstract of the lines that leads your eyes from the bottom of the picture makes for an interesting composition. Unfortunately the lighting make it almost painful to look at it too long. The colors are very bright. Redoing in B&W or toning down and make the colors not so vibrant would help to make the pleasing composition a lot better. "8"

Very nice closeup of a feather. The ridges or strand of the individual textures of the feather was captured beautifully. Love the great colors. The shadows and the highlights helps to bring out the details.

Great closup of the peanuts. Really shows the rough texture in the shells. I like the off center composition of the bowl of peanuts. It helps to keep it interesting. The lighting in which the bowl disappears into the black background makes you focus in on the well lite subjects. "10"
